Our Staff

Christine has been in education for over twenty years and is beginning her tenth year at Christ Covenant School! She is from Houston, Texas, and attended Baylor University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology/Pre-Med. After staying at Baylor for a post-bachelor’s program in Education, she loved her student teaching so much that she went on to get a Master’s degree in Educational Administration! Chris has six children – Cole (married to Hannah), Mace, Campbell, Corinne, Charis, and Clyde. She and her family attend Christ Covenant Church, and her favorite Bible passage is Psalm 139. Christine LOVES being the director at CCS and is excited about teaching kids to love God, others, and learning!

Lindsey was born and raised in Baton Rouge. She and her husband, Drew, were high school sweethearts and have two wonderful children, Henry and Alice, both of whom are CCS students. Lindsey received her MD and completed her Dermatology residency at LSU. After practicing Dermatology for seven years, she made the decision to step away to focus on her family. She is a member of Christ Covenant Church, and enjoys exercise, cooking, and gardening. She loves CCS and has thoroughly enjoyed getting to be a part of building the school. Her favorite Bible verse is Hebrews 6:19: “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure”.

Lynn was born and raised in the Baton Rouge area and attended LSU and Baylor for her English Literature degrees. She has been married to Bradley, one of the pastors at Christ Covenant Church, for 35 years and has five children— Olivia (Andrew Rohleder), Elizabeth, Alexander (Suze), Andrew, and Elliott. Vivian, their granddaughter, recently started at CCS and loves to wake up and go play at school. Lynn enjoys reading, walking the LSU lakes, being with her family, teaching and hiking any mountain she can find. Psalm 23 has become the anchor of her soul- “The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. “

Shannon was born in Louisiana and lived in South Carolina and Texas before returning to Baton Rouge. She has three children – Colton, Garrett (daughter-in-law Mary Kyle), and Sarah Katherine. Shannon graduated from LSU with a B.S. in Liberal Arts and a B. A. in Fashion Marketing from Regents University in London, England. She also earned a Certificate in Paralegal Studies (SMU) and Private Investigation (University of N. Texas). She spent many years working at San Antonio Academy (TX) and currently serves as the Administrator for Christ Covenant Church. In her free time, she loves adventure travel, antiquing, reading, collecting sunsets and some serendipity, too. Her favorite Bible verse is John 14:6: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Whitney is a Baton Rouge native and has been married for 13 years to Dustin. Together, they have 3 daughters, Grace, Hannah, and Julia. She graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a degree in political science and went on to receive a Juris Doctorate from Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center. After practicing real estate law for almost a decade, Whitney became a stay-at-home mom and now helps in the front office. The Flint family attends Christ Covenant Church and her favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11.

Amy was born in Michigan, and has lived in Texas, Wyoming, and Lafayette, LA, before moving to Baton Rouge. She and her husband Barrett have four children – Sofia, Naomi, Julia, and Elliott. Amy has a Bachelor’s degree in Education from LSU and has been in education for seven and a half years. She has been at CCS for four years! In her spare time, Amy enjoys baking and playing with the family’s dog. She and her family attend South Baton Rouge Presbyterian Church in Baton Rouge. Her favorite Bible verses are Hebrews 4:14-16.

Dawn and her husband, James, have been married for 21 years and have three amazing children- Wilks, Olive and Chase. She graduated from Louisiana college in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in Religious Education. She was a stay-at-home mom for seven years before reentering the workforce. She has been working with children in a preschool and lower elementary setting for the last ten years. She is a passionate teacher dedicated to making learning an adventure. She loves helping little ones develop curiosity, independence, and kindness every single day. Her favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 27:19.

Sarah is from Baton Rouge and she and her husband Paul have four daughters; Hannah (married to John), Jenna (married to Lyndon), Emma (married to Henrique), and Ella, who is finishing up her teaching degree at LSU. She has one granddaughter named Sophia who fills their lives with so much joy. She graduated from LSU with a B.S. in English and Spanish Education. Sarah has been teaching for 17 years with 8 of those at CCS! In her spare time Sarah enjoys walking, reading, music, traveling to the beach and Phoenix to visit her daughter and son-in-law, and spending time with her family. Also, of course – LSU football! She attends Grace Life Fellowship and her favorite Bible verses are Psalm 139:1-12.

Amy is from Baton Rouge and she and her husband, Creighton, have three children- Madeline, Olivia (son-in-law, Matthew) and Thomas. Amy attended St. Joseph’s Academy and received her B.A in Communications from LSU. She has worked in education for the last 15 years and has been at Christ Covenant School for 2 years. She enjoys traveling, yoga/Pilates, and serving in her church parish. She attends St. George Catholic Church, and her favorite bible verse is Mark 14:36- “Not what I will, but what you will.” Amy loves working at CCS and calls it the BEST job ever!

Jenny is from Baton Rouge, LA and has been married to her high school sweetheart, Patrick, for 19 years. They have two children - John Patrick and Catherine. Jenny has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from LSU and taught for 7 years in Houston and Atlanta private schools before staying home to raise her kids. In her free time she loves iced coffee, organic vegetable gardening, beekeeping, spending time with Patrick and the kids, walking the dogs and cooking. She is a member of Our Lady of Mercy and her favorite bible verse is Philippians 4:6: Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your requests known to God.

Melissa is from New Roads, LA, and has been married to her husband Bubby Burns for 34 years! They have four sons; Trey (married to Taylor), Reid (married to Bailey), Jack, and Hays. They have one granddaughter, Stella. Melissa has a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education and has been in education since 1991 and at CCS for 20 years. In her spare time she enjoys yoglates, walking the LSU lakes, shopping, reading, and spending time with her family. She attends St. Aloysius Catholic Church and her favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”

Camille is from Baton Rouge, where she attended Christ Covenant School, St. Jude School, and St. Joseph’s Academy. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in Neuroscience with a minor in Philosophy. Camille has been around CCS her whole life, coming multiple times every summer with her grandmother, Dotty Loar, and in recent years has taught during the summer sessions, so she understands how special a place it truly is! In her free time, she loves to get coffee, read, and occasionally go for a run. Camille attends St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, but some Sundays you might find her at Sacred Heart or Christ the King on LSU’s campus. Her favorite bible verse is Matthew 6:34, “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself…”

Elaine was born in Louisville, KY, and at 13 months old she and her family moved to St. Petersburg, Florida, where she grew up. Elaine has her Bachelor of Arts degree from Brenau College and has been teaching at Christ Covenant School for 24 years! She and her husband Chip have been married for 39 years and have three daughters that are all alumni of CCP; Maddie, Lauren, and Kate and 5 grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, gardening, exercising, and traveling to the beach and national parks. Elaine attends St. Aloysius Catholic Church and her favorite Bible verse is the Golden Rule. Elaine finds that the most important part of her day is taking time to teach life skills, and to empower each child to make wise choices. Each day, she works hard to facilitate the school’s mission – love God, each other, and learning.

Nancy is from Baton Rouge and she and her husband Sam have four children – Matthew, Anna Catherine, Elizabeth and John Michael. Nancy attended U-High and got her B.S. in preschool education from LSU. She has been in education for 29 years and at CCS for 17. In her spare time Nancy loves to read and garden! She attends First Presbyterian Church and her favorite Bible verse is Psalm 42:1, “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God.” According to Nancy, teaching is the best job and CCS is the best place to do it!

Dotty is from New Jersey. She is married to Danny and they have three children and nine grandchildren. Dotty has a degree in Elementary Education from Mount Saint Mary College in Plainfield, NJ and has been teaching for 38 years! She has been at CCS for 34 of those years. In her spare time Dotty enjoys church work and cooking. She attends Our Lady of Mercy and her favorite Bible verse is Romans 8:28. Dotty feels blessed beyond words to be at CCS!

Paige is from Baton Rouge and she and her husband Scott have four daughters; Jane Anne, Sophie, Grace, and Natalie. Paige has a degree in Elementary Education from Louisiana Tech. She has been in education for 20 years, the CCS kindergarten teacher for three years, and is currently teaching 1st grade! In her spare time Paige enjoys reading, gardening, and doing puzzles. She is a member of Christ Covenant Church and her favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:5-6.

Susan was born and raised in Baton Rouge and earned a B.S. from LSU. She is certified to teach grades 1–8. After spending many years at home raising her three children, she returned to the classroom and discovered the joy of teaching all over again. Susan and her husband, Kyle, have three children: Hays (married to Ellie), Ellie, and Annie Brooks. They also have two energetic grandsons, Walter and William, who bring endless joy to their family. Two things Susan enjoys about living close to campus: a hectic house on gamedays and hosting events for College Young Life . Susan serves as a board member and enthusiastic supporter of Providence Road, a local nonprofit that ministers daily to teenagers in North Baton Rouge. In her free time, Susan enjoys making the short drive to Hammond to spend time with her grandsons, walking with a friend, or reading a good book in a coffee shop. She attends Grace Life Fellowship and her favorite Bible verse is Ephesians 2:10. She considers it a privilege to partner with parents in helping children grow academically, socially, and spiritually in a Christ-centered environment.

Jill and her husband Casey have been married for almost 24 years and have three children. Her daughter Jadyn is 18 and will begin LSU in the fall. Their boys Jonathan (14) and Joshua (12) are at Sequitur Classical Academy. They have been members of Christ Covenant Church since its beginning, and have watched this school grow under Chris's leadership. They just recently started a new church, Goodwood Community Church, where Casey is the pastor. Jill graduated from Troy University in Alabama years ago with a degree in PR/ Journalism, then worked alongside Casey with the ministry of Campus Outreach while also homeschooling their children for 10 years. Those early years were such a joy and filled with great memories, and she’s excited to step back into that age group and guide children towards loving the Lord and all that He has made. She loves to decorate and garden and spends a lot of time these days watching her boys play baseball. The Colorado mountains are her happy place!

Emily is from Baton Rouge, LA and has only moved away to attend LSU nursing school in New Orleans and then to Monroe while her husband, Paul, finished graduate school at ULM. Paul and Emily have been married for 23 years and have four daughters, Alexis, Lily, Callie Ann, and Mary Jo. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from LSUHSC and worked as a Registered Nurse from 2002-2014 in various nursing fields from GI nursing, Cardiac Cath Lab, to Legal Nurse Consulting. Since then, she has been homeschooling her children and teaching at Sequitur Classical Academy for the last 10 years. This is her 2 nd year to be teaching at CCS. She loves to spend time with her family and friends, run, hike and go on coffee/shopping dates with her girls. Her favorite Bible verses are Lamentations 3:21-24.

Tara grew up in Houma, LA and graduated from Nicholls State University with a Bachelor’s degree in General Studies. She and her husband Nick have lived in Baton Rouge for 14 years. They have 3 sons and one daughter; Isaac (married to Laura), Jesse, Aaron, and Lily. Tara has been teaching for over 15 years in classical education. She loves encouraging children to love learning and helping them discover God’s beautiful creation. She’s excited about her first year at CCS. She also enjoys coaching volleyball and watching LSU baseball. She and her family are members at Saint Albans Chapel. Her favorite Bible verse is Romans 15:13.

Addison was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She is a 2025 graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy. Her previous teaching experience includes being a Tumbling Tigers and Tiger Tennis instructor for 3 years, and working multiple summer camps both for CCS and other institutions. Her favorite pastimes are cooking, gardening, being around her friends, and anything to do with music! She attends multiple churches around the area such as St. George Catholic Church, St. Jean Vianney, and Most Blessed Sacrament. Her favorite bible verse is Psalm 98:4-5; “Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; make music to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing.”

Chelsea is from Baton Rouge and received a degree in Psychology from LSU. She and her husband, Brad, have 2 sons Owen and Jack. She has been with CCS for 12 years! In her spare time she enjoys reading and being outdoors. She considers CCS to be one of her greatest blessings and absolutely loves going to "work" each day. Her favorite Bible verse is John 14:27, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

Emma Mae was born in Baton Rouge, LA, and grew up with 6 wonderful siblings. For her, children are a true happy place; she loves watching them discover the world around them and learning right alongside them every day. Whether building, creating, or playing, her goal is to provide a nurturing, joyful space where every child feels safe to shine. With a warm and creative approach, she is dedicated to making every child's early school experience magical and engaging. Outside of the classroom, she channels her creativity into running her own business, MAED. Emma Mae is excited to be a part of this wonderful community and help little ones grow, explore, and smile! Her favorite Bible passage is Psalm 139.

Stacey Rosenbrook,born and raised in in Trinidad and Tobago,migrated to the USA in 2000, lived in Asheville N.C ,where I worked at Frist Baptist child Development for 5yrs , we moved to Baton Rouge in 2012, worked at Runnels preschool for 4yr ,I’m married to Brent Rosenbrook for 17 years, we have two amazing kids,Razia now 16 she attends Baton Rouge High School,our son Keiran is 10 and is going to 5th grade at WHAM , looking forward to this new journey at CCP ! One of my favorite Bible verse 1John 4:7-8 Beloved let us love one another for live is of Got and every one that loveth is born of God,and knoweth . He that loveth not knoweth not God for God is love.

Debbie is from Mobile, AL and graduated with a Masters Degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation. She taught in Mobile County Public School System for 26 years and also coached many high school sports teams. Debbie moved to Baton Rouge 5 years ago to be near family and help care for Ethan and Ayden Hess. She is a member of Christ Covenant Church and also teaches a Silver Sneakers class at a local gym in Baton Rouge. Her favorite Bible verses are Habakkuk 3:17-18.

Gerry is from Baton Rouge and has her Bachelor of Arts from LSU. She has been teaching for 39 years and has been at Christ Covenant School for ten years! In her spare time, Gerry enjoys music and singing, interior design, sudoku puzzles, and learning languages. Her favorite Bible verse is Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” “Miss Mac” as she is affectionately called says working with young children has been a very fulfilling source of joy in her life and she has the best job in the world!‍

Katie is from Zachary, Louisiana. She and her husband, Marcus, have been married nearly 5 years and they have a son, Jayber. Katie has enjoyed working for small businesses over the years in restaurant and retail and has freelanced as a watercolor illustrator and calligrapher for the past eight years. In her spare time she enjoys reading, running, painting, baking, and spending time with her husband and son. She is a member of Christ Covenant Church and one of her favorite Bible verses is Psalm 27:4, "One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple."

Laura is from Abita Springs, LA, and she and her husband Brad have two daughters. Before she taught here at CCS, both of her girls attended the school, so it holds an even more special place in her heart. She has been working with children since 2010, and she and her family are members of the Lutheran Church of our Savior, where she teaches children's church on Sunday mornings. She loves to sing and plays several instruments, and loves incorporating music into her classroom! Her favorite verse is Hebrews 11:1, "Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see."
